Two of the students in the computer class, Paul O’Kelly and Robert Hutton are both good swimmers. This year they went to Jersey to compete in a swimming competition, they went with the Coventry City swimming group and flew from Birmingham airport. Paul and Robert said they really enjoyed the flight. The competition was held by the Jersey Association for the Disabled and was on for three days. They both did very well in the competition and won some medals. Paul and Robert stayed in a big hotel which served very good food and they enjoyed it here very much. They spent two hard days of competing in swimming and sports events but found this enjoyable and everyone had a good time and got on well together. As well as taking part in the competition there were several nights of social events which the lads enjoyed very much and made some new friends, girls included. Robert brought in a CD of the event which we all watched and enjoyed in one of our sessions. Robert and Paul have also competed in London in swimming competitions.
