'developing social enterprises creating pathways to employment'
A review of existing facilities and projects identified a specific core group of projects that had the potential for expansion and could be built up into businesses that could generate income. These initial projects were catering, woodcraft, textiles and gardening with each having a core team of service users with a particular interest and enthusiasm for their project.
Since the long-term vision was to create a social enterprise business, it was decided to establish a formal company using the community interest company model. This established an umbella for the individual projects and first directors for that were Sinder Mahil (Manager at Curriers Enterprises) and Uldis Revelins (Investment and business team).
